Jenny McGann
Jenny first started her studies in Amatsu in Dublin in 2001. She completed her Visceral (Shinden Jitsu) course in 2003 with Dennis Bartram in Hartlepool, N.E. England. She has completed both the Body Synchronisation Technique courses and the Cranial (Kenku) courses with Dennis. Jenny’s background as a Primary School Teacher has provided her with a firm foundation in teaching. After completing a refresher course in Training and Continuing Education with the National University of Ireland, Maynooth in 2004 she was recognised by the Amatsu Therapy Association and the Institute of Complementary Medicine as a Trainer of Amatsu and as an external examiner for Amatsu in Ireland and the UK.
Jenny has also taught with Dennis Bartram of Amatsu UK Ltd, in Hartlepool, where she attends regular sessions of Continuing Professional Development (CPD), and has taught with Jane Langston of Amatsu Training School (Click here to visit www.amatsutrainingschool.com).
Jenny is currently a member of both Amatsu Therapy Ireland and the Amatsu Therapy Association UK.
Jenny runs a busy clinic in Lucan, Co Dublin.
Derek Plunkett
Derek founded the Amatsu Training School of Ireland with Jenny McGann in February 2004. Derek was introduced into Amatsu by Dennis Bartram in 1991, having previously completed an ITEC course in Massage. He has also studied Cranio-Sacral Therapy and Kinesiology. He has trained extensively in the Martial Arts and this gives him an excellent combination of knowledge in Body Movement, Tai Jutsu and Body Work. Derek has been involved in Transformational Healing since 1999 which compliments his Amatsu work.
He was recognised by the Amatsu Therapy Association UK and the Institute of Complementary Medicine as a Trainer of Amatsu and as an external examiner for Amatsu in 2004 after completing a course in Training and Continuing Education with the National University of Ireland, Maynooth, Co. John Nolan
John’s interest in Amatsu started after he received treatment for a back condition he suffered in a car accident over 10 years ago.
John started training in Amatsu with the Amatsu Training School of Ireland (ATSI) in 2004 and qualified as an Amatsu Practitioner in 2005. He has continued his studies with the ATSI and has taken numerous training courses with Dennis Bartram, Principal Researcher of Amatsu including Spinal Dynamics, Body Movement, Shinden Jutsu (Amatsu’s approach to visceral work) and Kenku (Amatsu’s approach to Cranial work).
John has trained in and studied various Martial Arts, meditation and energy work which help to give him a more holistic understanding of how the human body works.
John also has over twenty years experience working in both the Public and Private Sectors in retail, consumer issues, information technology and the health and safety area.
John is a Registered Member of Amatsu Therapy Ireland, Amatsu Therapy Association (UK) and the Complimentary Therapists Association.
John runs a successful clinic in Rathfarnham, Dublin 16.
